SIX OF THE BEST with SHAMAN’S HARVEST singer Nate Hunt

SIX OF THE BEST with SHAMAN’S HARVEST singer Nate Hunt
By Shane Pinnegar

One of Missouri’s finest, Shaman’s Harvest released album #6 – Red Hands Black Deeds in July of this year to rousing critical acclaim. It seemed fitting that we pin down co-founder, singer & acoustic guitarist Nate Hunt for his own personal Six Of The Best.

What are the six albums which have most influenced you?

Pearl Jam – 10
The Allman Brothers – Live at the Filmore
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Led Zeppelin – Houses of the Holy
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

How about the six most astonishing or memorable concerts you’ve attended?

Pantera, Deftones & White Zombie in ’96 – it was memorable because we didn’t know who the fuck Deftones were.

When we got to play Red Rocks in Denver, because it was a goal of ours since the inception of our band.

Opening for AC/DC, because - AC/DC!

Opening for Alice in Chains on their Unplugged tour… because from an acoustic standpoint they were a huge influence.

Ozzfest back in the early 2000’s: SO much energy!

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. They did so much with so little production for the size of the show. It was about the songs, as opposed to pyro and whatnot.
